Joy Music Studio is an established music school in Marine Parade. We’re looking for a warm, reliable and engaging Music Teachers who can teach individual and group lessons, support student performances, and contribute actively to our music programmes, workshops and camps.

What You’ll Do As A Teacher

• Teach Music Programs (core)

  • Teach individual and group lessons (ages 6+)

  • Design customized lesson plans aligned with student goals and in line with our learning philosophies

  • Engage students with fun and creative activities & games

  • Prepare students for exams, performances, auditions and competitions

  • Communicate progress to parents (verbal/written/video updates)

• Performances, groups, programmes & events (required)

  • Plan and execute student showcases, concerts, workshops and camps

  • Assist with rehearsals, song arrangements, and performance accompaniment (when needed)

• Curriculum & programme development (required)

  • Contribute to vocal curriculum resources (learning milestones, repertoire etc)

  • Share best practices to strengthen the vocal department’s teaching consistency and student outcomes

• Teamwork

  • Participate in staff meetings/training

  • Collaborate with teachers and admin team to deliver a great parent/student experience

  • Assist with front desk admin work (full-time teachers)

What we’re looking for

• Diploma/Degree in your primary instrument (required for MOE registration), Grade 8 level may be considered

• 1+ year teaching experience, enjoys teaching kids/teens

• Comfortable teaching ABRSM / Trinity / Rockschool curriculums from Grades 1-8

• Teach Music Explorers (ages 4–6, small group class) — training provided

• Confident and proactive in guiding parents on progress and goals

• Highly punctual and reliable, consistent attendance is essential

Nice-to-have

• Grade 8 certification in a second instrument

• Has worked with in a team environment to plan program curriculum and student events

• Able to preepare students for DSA auditions/portfolios
