You do not need to purchase an instrument before starting lessons, but having one for regular practice outside of lessons can greatly enhance your learning progress. Your teacher can provide guidance in selecting an instrument that fits your needs and budget.
As an added benefit, some of our studios are available to students for practice when they are not in use for lessons which is helpful until you have your own instrument.
